During my experience of running the marathon, triathlon and small 5-10K race, I found that the economic race and nice outside my local 5k's. If you ever thought about running, which I recommend because it is always tested. Here are some tips on how to prepare for you.
1. Sign and
Chances are, no matter where you live, there is a 5-K in the vicinity soon. It is the most popular race attracted over 7500 instead of 5-K, in 2006, more than 3 million riders. Why? "It is only three miles!" Well, 3.1 miles, but only if you have three half-hour of running the application in a week, may, at the end of a 5-K this weekend. And you can run with up to 5-K with less than six weeks of concentrated training.
2. Just have fun
5-K are an excellent way to meet people and be in good shape and are newbie-friendly. I must admit I am a little afraid that the old driver was a rookie was disturbing. The opposite was the case, local runningGroup shot at me. If you're used to watching the clock, try to ignore it in the next race. I have two 5-Ks this fall, and new personal records at any time.
3. Use 5-Ks for Speed
Running training for a long case, how can or a half marathon, 5-Ks to work instead of speed. I do everything for use in a 5k race has helped me to complete 114 5 K races for the Cure. I usually work at times a little slower than race pace and from 20 to 25Minutes, here is how I prepare for a local 5-K:
Monday: Rest day
Sea: speed session
MI: Just run a long distance or closed
Thu: speed session
FR: Rest or easy run to the last half mile at race pace
Saturday: 5K Run
Sun: Just run the middle distance
4. Eat a little
You do not need extra calories before a 5-K run, but if you're used to eating breakfast, you may feel hungry. Your body needs calories, helps to raiseand keep going, but don't overdo it. I suggest just half a bagel with peanut butter, half a banana, or gel/sports beans/shot blocks is enough. Also a little tip for the newbie's trying their first 5k, there is no reason to eat before a 5-K, as they all have real food afterward.
